Maybe my view to that statement is a tad bit hostile...but if I could track her down I would force feed her cake and ice cream for a few days until she developed a muffin top, because, for the majority of us Quilting does NOT help lose weight. I only lose my appetite for two things. 1. I already ate something immensely unhealthy but tasty or 2. stress. Lots of stress. Like break up stress or some one is dying stress. So doing something I really enjoy (most of the time) does not curb the munchies.
In fact, after Moda Fabrics came out with their “Bake Shop” , some of us gained weight. Working with luscious pre-cut fabrics named, “layer Cake, Turn Over, Jelly Rolls...” It made us hungry. We were already thinking about jelly rolls and layer cakes...so trust me, when we got hungry we were not craving carrots.
( I actually contacted Mr. Dunn of Moda Fabrics to whine about this, and requested a tummy tuck. He laughed and complimented the letter, but stopped short of sponsoring plastic surgery. Whatever.)
my lack of obsession with
vegetables became a bit of a
problem when my former physician
noticed my weight gain and wanted to test me for a bunch of stuff. I suggested the cheaper alternative, which was just to lose the weight. We then parted ways when I asked him if he’s weight

involves jumping, with some fist pumps in the air while you yell “ Oh yeah..Oh yeah...I’m a rock star...quilting rock star.”
not related to and don’t have to cook for. Alternate arms for lifting.
but you can fake it with the other one.
you had used all the lower shelves first. Now start the project that needs that fabric. Stretch to reach fabric. Now stretch again cuz you couldn’t quite grasp it
last time. take a small break and shake your arms out. Stretch again.......Now go grab the teenager who’s always making fun of your for being short and make them get it.
Invest in some high quality paper plates and the clean- up- after- dinner- mess is solved as well.
skinny lady who says she doesn’t have much of a appetite and forgets to eat when she’s quilting? She’s taking something. Find out what it is and then share it with me!!!!
